UFC undisputed 2010 Submission??? (xbox 360)?

No matter what happens the second i get put into a submission i lose. I tap out within 1 second. I tryed button mashing, i tryed spinning the stupid right trigger buuuut nothing really gets me out of the sub. WTF am i doing wrong? I did the tut but i still tap in 1 second.
