I was riding my moose, and it pooped when we jumped a hedge. Is this normal?

Im really kind of embarrased and irritated that my jumper moose felt it necessary to release his bowels just as we were clearing a hedge on an obstacle course. It kind of went everywhere, and the hedge is totally fouled with filthy moose dung now. Its rather pungent smelling, and is making the day unpleasant over all. People are looking at us, shaking their heads and tut-tutting. I find this behaviour to be abysmal. Why is it the horse crowd cant accept the moosers? My jumper moose His Royal Honor Mackelroy Ebenezer Fighting Fields Duodenum Fiasco can keep up with any horse, and jump just as high. Then there are his majectic lines. No moose haters please.
